Reservations Manager:

As the Reservations Manager, you help ensure a successful and smooth camping season by leveraging your expertise to provide excellent customer service and contribute a positive attitude to our work environment. During prime-season, your face-to-face skills are critical for interacting with guests and creative problem solving. You will be responsible for delivering accurate information regarding the resort and surrounding areas, in order to enhance the guest experience. A positive attitude and the ability to multitask are a must in this fast-paced work environment where we interact daily with guests, over the phone and in person.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining a precise record of all Pine Acres’ guests regarding reservation accounts, billing, and procedures. You will oversee the Office Clerks on a daily basis and ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently, for the guests and the employees.

Responsibilities

● Work professionally and seamlessly with Owners, Managers, Full-time Staff, and Seasonal Staff.

● During the off-season months, the individual must be comfortable working closely with managers and staff.

● During the on-season months, guest satisfaction is the priority and a positive attitude and genuine smile is a necessity. Duties will include, but not be limited to: deliver exceptional guest service and care, communicate patiently with guests to answer questions, explain information, and address concerns, and ensure that all complaints regarding service and/or accommodations are investigated and resolved.

● Year-round responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: answer telephone calls, return calls, direct calls, take messages, and check voicemail; create, change, and cancel reservations; accurately enter and update guest information in the database software; manage seasonal inquiries, reservations, and upkeep of accounts; check and respond to company emails throughout the day; maintain organized and coherent office filing system; sort incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail; organize product stock; providing reservation status updates to Management Team.

● Individual will become expert in resort policies, including rates, special offers, and discounts.

● As Manager, responsibilities will also include, but not be limited to: manage the guest database software; input and review all utility billings before issuing electronic invoices; consistently reviewing accounts receivable and monitoring balances due; coordinate group reservations to ensure resort capacity and rules are adhered to; check-in and check-out campers and registered visitors.

● As Manager, you will be tasked to train the Office Clerks and readily step in when guest issues escalate beyond Clerk’s scope of authority; research and learn about industry trends; and demonstrate willingness to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction.

● Maintain a clean and organized individual workspace as well as ensure office remains neat and professional in appearance by cleaning and vacuuming daily.

● Individual will operate office equipment (e.g. photocopiers, scanners, phone system, and work computers) responsibly and with care.

● Honesty and integrity are required as individual will be responsible for: ensure charges and refunds are processed properly and on time; process payments from guests with speed and accuracy; count register cash daily for balancing; and prepare bank deposits.

● During the on-season months, be available to work on scheduled nights, weekends, and holidays during the camping season. Holiday weekends are our busiest time and your availability is required.

● Flexibility for vacations and time-off is provided in the non-peak season. Overtime may be required during peak season; the guests’ needs often extend past normal working hours.

 

Activities Supervisor:

Pine Acres Family Camping Resort is recruiting for a high energy, organized, self-starter to join the Pine Acres Team as the Activities Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing fun and interactive games and events for resort guests and marketing the activities to all guests. They should be reliable, hardworking, and a team player.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize and manage recreational events and activities including sports, crafts, and special programs for all ages.
  • Planning and coordination of special events, including order inventory, preparing orders, overseeing staff and entertainment, volunteers, vendors and/or other partnering agents
  • Budget planning and tracking of all events during the season
  • Follow up on previous events to plan for the future
  • Work with vendors for set up dates/times for entertainers.
  • Producing regular publications (print and/or internet), managing and updating notifications and calendars, posting weekly, monthly, and seasonal activities is required
  • Lead and control activities in a safe manner; train staff to do the same
  • Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the park “Fun Centers” to coordinate breaks, help with any non-emergency situations that require Supervisor assistance (including employee and guest questions).
  • Position requires directing employees and includes praising and/or disciplining employees as necessary.
  • Must be able to work with employees of all ages and backgrounds.

Hours: Flexible in the winter season- Mother’s Hours welcome, PT, April through October, 32-40 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Recreation or event planning
  • Must be available to work on scheduled nights, weekends, and holidays during the camping season. Holiday weekends are our busiest time and your availability is required.
  • Associates degree in Recreation or Human Services is preferred; HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter
  • Ability to lift and carry 35lbs around safely
  • Outgoing personality- can easily engage with people of all ages
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through with tasks
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Familiar with social media platforms
  • Knowledge of smart-phone operations and features (iPhone or Android)
  • Bilingual a plus!

SEASONAL POSITIONS INCLUDE:

Activities Assistant

The Activities Attendant works closely with the Activities Supervisor to implement a dynamic activities schedule that provides fun and interactive games and events for resort guests.  These activities include all age groups and require promoting and leading the activities in a safe manner.  The ideal candidate is organized, can maintain a high level of enthusiasm during a fast-paced schedule and can interact with guests of all ages.

Arcade Attendant

The Arcade Attendant is responsible for maintaining the daily operation of the Arcade and Redemption Center.
This position is ideal for someone with a bright personality and is capable of multitasking in this fast-paced and exciting fun center!
You will be trained on the POS system so that you can fluently complete sales, rental, and redemption transactions.
You will be responsible for monitoring inventory of activity goods (ceramics, sand art, etc), as well as distributing and logging rental equipment
Guest conduct must be monitored, as should cleanliness of the Arcade.

Bait Shop and Golf Cart Attendant

The Bait Shop and Golf Cart Attendant is responsible for maintaining the daily operation of the Bait Shop and attending to the Golf Cart Rental Program. This position is ideal for someone with good attention to detail and a bright personality, capable of multitasking! You will be trained to use the POS system to complete all sales and rental transactions. This position is also responsible for equipment rentals (golf carts and boats) which includes completion of required paperwork, visual inspections and cleaning of equipment and sizing and fitting of proper PFD (personal flotation device). Other responsibilities include monitoring the inventory and health of live bait and maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the Bait Shop. An able candidate may also have the opportunity to offer fishing clinics and guidance to our guests. A learners permit or license is required for this position.

Gate Attendant

The Gate Attendant is the first point of contact our guests have upon entering the park and serves as a liaison between guests and the Office.
This position is ideal for organized individuals who have a warm and friendly demeanor, with the ability to “wow” guests as they arrive! In addition to welcoming guests, you will be responsible for working with the Office to maintain a smooth and efficient check-in process, ensuring that check-in packages are accurate, and directing guests in the appropriate direction, either to their site, the Office, or other locations throughout the park. You must also be able to communicate effectively, answer questions, explain information and address concerns. Other required duties include: completion of all logs, distribution of park marketing materials and activity sheets.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping Team Members work hard to ensure that our resort buildings, bathrooms and rental units always look their best! This is an ideal position for detail oriented individuals who are comfortable working alone or in small teams. You will work closely with the Housekeeping and Maintenance supervisors to ensure completion of daily and weekly cleaning tasks which include bathrooms, ancillary buildings and multiple rental units (upon guest departure). Other requirements include completion of service slips for broken or missing items, laundering of bedding, and cleaning and restocking of housekeeping vehicles. Maintenance Staff

Maintenance Team Members assist with the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department to ensure things run efficiently around the park. This position is ideal for hardworking individuals who enjoy being outside and have some prior experience. In addition to supporting Jr. Maintenance with stocking of firewood and ice, site maintenance and refuse removal, you will also have the responsibility of operating, maintaining and cleaning golf carts, utility vehicles and all power equipment. You will also assist with maintenance and weekly operation of all landscape equipment (lawn mowers, blowers, weed-whackers, etc.) as assigned. Additionally you will dispense and distribute propane for guests and rental units, and evaluate and perform minor repairs on resort buildings and utilities (electric, cable, water and septic).

Junior Maintenance

The Junior Maintenance Team assists with the daily operations of the Maintenance department to ensure things run efficiently and effectively throughout the park. This position is ideal for hardworking individuals who enjoy being outside. You will work closely with the Maintenance supervisor on duty to coordinate tasks like stocking firewood and ice at the Country Store and Bait Shop, maintaining site appearance after guest departures, removal of refuse from various area of the park, and emptying of dog pots and re-stocking of dispenser. You will assist with weekly weed-whacking and mowing as assigned and help with setup and breakdown of special events, as directed. A Learners permit or license is required for this position.

Office Clerk

The Office clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service, in addition to information regarding the park and surrounding areas. A positive and friendly attitude, as well as the ability to multitask, is a must in this fast paced work environment where we interact daily with guests, both in person and over the phone. Working computer knowledge is a must! Your responsibilities will include the use of a multi-line telephone system to answer, direct and return calls as well as to take messages and check voicemail. You will also check and respond to email as directed. The majority of this position revolves around reservation transactions, which includes creating, changing and canceling; guest registration and check-in/out, and assistance with seasonal accounts and upkeep. Basic office procedures include operation of office machines such as photocopiers and scanners, as well as sort incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.

Park Ranger

Rangers are responsible for making sure all park rules are being followed to ensure the safety of the campground guests, employees and property. This position is well suited for diplomatic and tactful individuals who can deal with a wide variety of situations in a calm and effective manner. Primary responsibilities include monitoring property to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed, to troubleshoot guest and employee issues, and to assist with guest check-in and site escorts. You will also be responsible for maintaining a complete log of all happenings, completing incident reports as needed, completing service slips for broken or missing items, and delivering propane tanks and wood to sites. Additionally you will also be responsible for closing and securing resort buildings.

Pool Attendant

The Pool Attendant is responsible for welcoming all guests to the Pool Commons and for monitoring pool activity and pool condition, while providing excellent customer service to guests. This fun center is best suited for an individual with a warm personality who can interact with guests of all ages in a diplomatic manner, and deal with a variety of situations. The ideal candidate should also enjoy being outdoors! You will also be required to check color and clarity of pool and spa water throughout shift, as directed by supervisor, to check pump controls and log chemistry of water, and immediately report any issues to supervisor, to clean and maintain pool deck and lounge chairs throughout shift (deep clean before and after pool opens/closes so as to not disturb guests) and enforce pool rules for the enjoyment of all guests. An able candidate may be asked to run pool activities as directed. You will be required to enter the pool with appropriate swim attire to clean the water line.

Short-Order Cook

The Short-Order Cook is responsible for providing food service in order to enhance the guest experience. With a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items, this position is suited for someone who can multitask and works well under pressure. The ability to work with others and communicate is a must! As the cook, you will prep all food for the cafe and the food prep area, cook food orders as needed, interact with Store Clerks to ensure proper food presentation and timely delivery, as well as assist with ice cream service. Additionally you must keep coolers and freezers clean, organized and stocked, keep cooking line and prep area clean, organized and stocked, clean dishes, pots and pans and be prepared to assist Store Clerks with order taking, which requires the use of the POS system.

Store Clerk

The Store Clerk is responsible for selling food and merchandise and providing customer service to enhance the guest experience. This position is ideal for someone with a bright personality, who can multitask in this fast-paced environment! As a clerk you will be responsible for the use of the POS system to complete sales transactions as well as take food and ice cream orders. In addition you will process vendor deliveries by pricing items and stocking shelves, assist in set-up of food prep area, monitor and supply coffee station, scoop ice cream and support cook as needed for timely completion of food orders. You must also maintain ice cream area, maintain store and cafe appearance, keeping it clean and fully stocked and rotate stock according to expiration dates.
